Many fans of Isla Mujeres will recognise the name Ballyhoo, a restaurant with a long history on the island, however, the original Ballyhoo closed its doors and was reopened as Blue Ballyhoo in the previous location by new owners in December 2021. Blue Ballyhoo can be found behind the gas station in downtown Isla Mujeres along the same road as Muelle 7 and the island’s ferry terminal. Enjoy, fresh fish and seafood in a lovely, welcoming atmosphere, with great decoration and good service. Indulge in some of their favorite dishes on offer such as fish and chips, grilled garlic shrimp, fish tacos and ceviche. Wash it all down with a large margarita or a bucket of beers. There is swing seating available to eat and drink at, or more intimate table dining, while watching the sunset and sampling their menu.
