Ruben’s restaurant was created by Ruben Chavez Martinez, a well-known member of the community here on Isla Mujeres, because of his big heart, always there for the children of Isla Mujeres, and the adults also in need. Ruben Chavez Martinez passed away in September 2020 after hospitalization due to Covid-19 with underlying health issues. He will be missed!
