Since 2001, Isla Animals Rescue has been dedicated to rescuing and sterilizing street dogs on the island and nearby areas.

They work to control the animal population through free spay and neuter campaigns, community education, and adoption programs.

 

In 2023, they moved to the mainland part of Isla Mujeres and opened Isla Animals Oasis, a shelter that continues to support animals from the island as well as from Cancun.

The organization rescues street and abandoned animals and relies on community support to continue its work.
