A local's favorite hangout, Taqueria El Cachirul, is located in the mid-island colonia of La Gloria and is one of the cheapest taquerias on Isla Mujeres. Taqueria El Cachirul has great value tacos, queso fundido (molten cheese served with tortillas - very yummy!), tortas, and so much more. With any order, you'll be able to help yourself to the salsa and sides bar and fill up your plate. They also serve a selection of desserts, which change daily, and delicious licuados (smoothies). They have plenty of indoor tables to eat in or take your order to-go and enjoy it sitting on the lagoon opposite this restaurant.
