There is the Jalisco Room, Puebla Room, Oaxaca Room, Yucatan Room, Quintana Roo Room and the Chiapas Suite, with each room offering its own unique design and character.
One of the highlights of the property is the rooftop terrace, which is open for all guests to enjoy. There is a comfortable sofa area where you can sit back and relax, as well as a picnic bench that is perfect for sitting down with something to eat or doing a little work on your laptop. The terrace is shaded with fabric that catches the Caribbean breeze as it blows across the island, making it a comfortable spot to spend time throughout the day.
It is a great place to people watch from above the street, start your morning with a coffee or tea, or sit down with some street tacos you have just picked up nearby. In the evening, grab a cold beer, sit back with friends and enjoy the Caribbean breeze before heading out for the night. Each of the six rooms at Hidalgo Boutique Rooms has its own unique character, with the design inspired by the Mexican state it is named after. From the colours and textiles to the artwork and decorative details, each room has its own look and feel. All rooms include a private bathroom, comfortable king bed, Smart TV, safe, wardrobe/storage space and a mini fridge to store your leftovers, snacks or drinks, along with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Jalisco Room
From sombreros and colourful textiles to a stunning agave field painting covering the wall behind the bed, the Jalisco Room brings the spirit of tequila, mariachi and Mexican culture into your stay.
Set back from the main street on the middle floor, it is a great option for those looking for a
room that is close to all the action but doesn't overlook the busy pedestrian street.
Puebla Room
Located on the middle floor, the Puebla Room brings the colours and character of Puebla into the space, with Talavera plates, beautiful textiles and distinctive onyx lamps adding Mexican touches throughout the room.
With a balcony overlooking the main street, you can also sit outside and watch the activity below, although the room can be a little noisier when the street is busy.
Oaxaca Room
The middle-floor Oaxaca Room takes its inspiration from the rich textiles and traditional designs of the region. Colourful Oaxaca textiles add warmth and character throughout the room, while the private balcony overlooking the main street gives you a front-row view of the activity outside.
As you would expect from a room overlooking the main street, it can be a little noisier in the evenings.
Yucatan Room
Located on the rooftop terrace, the Yucatan Room brings the relaxed character of Yucatan into the room with colourful Yucatecan textiles and decorative hammocks.
Its rooftop location gives it a different feel from the rooms on the middle floor below, while the balcony overlooking the main street lets you enjoy the atmosphere of downtown Isla Mujeres from above.
Quintana Roo Room
Located on the third floor and set back from the main street, the Quintana Roo Room brings the colours of the Caribbean indoors with shades of ocean blue and handcrafted wooden fish.
Known as our quietest room, and sometimes referred to as our “penthouse”, it opens directly onto the shared rooftop terrace, giving you a little extra space to step outside, enjoy the Caribbean sunshine and take in the surroundings.
Chiapas Suite
The Chiapas Suite is the largest of the rooms and is located on the middle floor, with a king bed and large sofa bed that comfortably sleeps up to four guests.
A full bathroom and additional half bathroom make it a practical option for groups travelling together, while colourful handwoven baskets, textiles and handcrafted wooden pieces bring the character of Chiapas into the room.
One Block from Playa Norte
One of the best things about staying at Hidalgo Boutique Rooms is having Playa Norte just one block away. Within a couple of minutes, you can be on the sand enjoying the calm Caribbean waters, spending the afternoon at a beach club or watching the sunset.
