SAILFISH ENCOUNTER

If you're planning a trip to Isla Mujeres and looking for an extraordinary underwater adventure, you should definitely consider swimming with sailfish. These are the fastest fish in the ocean, and you can experience them up close during the season from January to March. This incredible experience offers an opportunity to learn more about these impressive creatures and swim alongside them in their group as they hunt large schools of sardines in the crystal clear waters of Isla Mujeres.

Your day will begin early in the morning with an approximately 1-2 hour-long cruise to the east on the Caribbean. Your captain and guide will be on the lookout for seabirds hovering over the area where sailfish are hunting and diving into the baitball. Once a group of sailfish is found, you will be given the opportunity to swim with them using your snorkel, mask, and life jacket. You will witness an incredible hunt as the sailfish work together to eat the sardines in the baitball. This is a unique experience and a great day trip during your visit to the island.
