DOWNTOWN

Isla Mujeres’ downtown area, known as El Centro, is the ideal spot for those who want to be in the midst of all the excitement. With everything right at your fingertips, you won’t have to worry about arranging transportation after a fun-filled day at a beach club or a lively night out at one of the island's vibrant bars—everything is easily walkable.
Located at the northern end of Isla Mujeres, downtown boasts the popular Playa Norte, as well as Avenida Hidalgo, the main strip lined with the best bars, restaurants, and shops.
MID ISLAND
Get an authentic taste of island life
Mid-island Isla Mujeres, known as Las Colonias, is home to more “local” neighborhoods nestled between Downtown and Punta Sur. This area includes neighborhoods like the Airport Strip, Salina Chica, Salina Grande, Meterologico, Cañotal, and La Gloria. Here, you'll find a variety of accommodations, from rental apartments to private vacation homes and BnBs. This region is primarily residential, making it ideal for those looking to experience the authentic essence of Isla Mujeres, complete with budget-friendly eateries (loncherias or cocina economicas), hidden gems, beautiful views, children's parks, and scenic seaside or lakeside strolls.
PUNTA SUR
