Open since December 2024, this small eatery offers a fresh take on traditional Mayan and Mexican cuisine, with tables indoors in the AC, additional outdoor seating, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Originally known for its breakfast and lunch service, Ajal expanded in late May 2025 to include dinner, now open until 9:30 PM with an evening menu. The space remains intimate and casual, perfect for a slow morning or an easygoing dinner under the lights. Their breakfast menu includes regional specialties like sikil pak toast, chilaquiles, and chicken enchiladas, alongside pancakes, French toast, and a strong coffee selection. Everything is made to order, with a focus on freshness and flavor. The lunch offerings feature tacos, chicken pibil, salbutes, and other Yucatecan dishes. Their house drinks, including artisanal coffee and refreshing fruit waters. Despite its size, Ajal consistently offers great food and service.
