Vinales Grill VIÑALES GRILL Viñales Grill is a family-run Mexican restaurant in downtown Isla Mujeres, this hidden gem is located on Matamoros Street, away from the busier areas. It is on the same road as Isla Burger and Olivia, close to Playa Centro. Known for its reasonable prices and varied seafood and Mexican menu, it offers both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great option for groups of any size. The menu features a wide selection of seafood, including lobster, octopus, shrimp, ceviches, tostadas, and fried fish. Other choices range from fajitas and burritos to grilled meats, cuts of steak, chicken in mole, poc chuc, tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, hamburgers, and nachos. The restaurant has great food, service, and affordability, but it is less known amongst visitors. Complimentary nachos with salsas are a nice touch, and the margaritas are a hit here! Antal Cafe Holistico ANTAL CAFE HOLISTICO Closed in July 2024. Antal Cafe is a coffee shop, yoga studio, and holistic space all in one. Go by for a delicious breakfast and coffee to start your day before taking a revitalizing yoga class. Located in downtown Isla Mujeres, on Avenida Juarez, close to La Lomita restaurant, Antal has several areas for you to enjoy. As soon as you enter their lobby area you are greeted by a peaceful space, take a look at some of the items available to buy here such as jewelry and clothing. La Bohemia Taqueria LA BOHEMIA TAQUERIA Closed late 2025. If you’re looking for tacos off the beaten track, La Bohemia Taqueria, opened in 2020, is a favorite with locals and tourists alike. With several changes in location, since they opened, you can now find La Bohemia Taqueria in front of the old location of La Hach, south of Oscar's Grill on Avenida Rueda Medina, in the island's mid-island area. This family run restaurant is the perfect spot to find some delicious tacos, or a wonderfully filling torta (sandwich). With a variety of meat available to enjoy. Try their wonderful pastor meat, a firm favorite here in Mexico, they also have chicken available, or you can even get a little more adventurous, try their delicious tripa (cow intestine), there are also some other delicious options to try including arrachera (flank steak), shrimp and longaniza (sausage from the Yucatan region of Mexico).
