How to Celebrate the 4th of July on Isla Mujeres
While Mexico doesn’t officially celebrate the 4th of July, Isla Mujeres offers a handful of events and casual options for visitors from the U.S. who want to enjoy the day. Whether you're in the mood for burgers and beach clubs or just want to catch a glimpse of fireworks across the water, there are plenty of ways to mark the occasion island-style.
Kin Ha Beach Club will be serving up some American classics with a tropical twist like BBQ ribs and their signature burger, along with drinks and ocean views. It’s a laid-back daytime event perfect for relaxing by the sea with good food and a casual atmosphere.
Mayan Beach Club is hosting both day and night events. The daytime pass includes an all day beach party, with a DJ from 11AM, and live music in the afternoon from 4PM. In the evening, you can enjoy a buffet with a mix of American and Mexican dishes and live music right by the water, under the stars.
Zaza Yacht & Beach Club is also hosting a 4th of July party, with food, drinks, and beautiful views across the bay toward Cancun. It's a good spot to relax with music, cocktails, and front-row seats to any fireworks lighting up the skyline.
Stingray is joining in with a 4th of July menu, drink specials, and karaoke throughout the night. Their burger trio (tuna, chicken, and beef), wings with a beer bucket, and combo platters are all part of the celebration. It’s a casual, music-filled spot to hang out and enjoy some American-style bites.
Bahia del Rey is starting their 4th of July celebration at 6PM with a build-your-own burger bar, cornhole games, bingo, and a fireworks show over the ocean. With sunset views and a private pier, it’s a scenic place to settle in for the evening with food, drinks, and fun by the water.
Jaxx Bar & Grill is a solid pick if you’re after a classic American-style menu with burgers, wings, sports on the TVs, and cold drinks. It’s a familiar atmosphere and a good place to catch a game while still soaking up the island vibe.
Prefer to keep it simple? Grab some cold beers from a local shop and head to the beach, or grab a hot dog from one of the downtown carts. You can also book a dinner at a beachfront restaurant with views across to Cancun - where fireworks are often visible on the horizon.
Whether you’re in the mood for live music and beach parties or a quiet dinner by the sea, Isla Mujeres has a few easy ways to celebrate the 4th of July.
